Christmas and New Year Update
December 29, 2005Pausing Psalms for an encouraging passage
December 21, 2005God Offers Comfort to All
3All praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source[b] of every mercy and the God who comforts us. 4He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 5You can be sure that the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. 6So when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your benefit and salvation! For when God comforts us, it is so that we, in turn, can be an encouragement to you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. 7We are confident that as you share in suffering, you will also share God’s comfort.
Psalm 47
December 20, 2005Psalm 47
Interlude
For the choir director: A psalm of the descendants of Korah.
Come, everyone, and clap your hands for joy!
Shout to God with joyful praise!
2
For the LORD Most High is awesome.
He is the great King of all the earth.
Goodness these all remind me of songs, this one reminds me of the one we sing in the services on fridays…..how awesome is, the Lord most high, He reigns over all the earth, His people shout aloud for joy, at the sound of the coming king Great and mighty God we will give you praise, we will lift our hands and our voice we’ll raise, to the king of kings, and the Lord of Lords…..we will praise you Lord.
3
He subdues the nations before us,
putting our enemies beneath our feet.
4
He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance,
the proud possession of Jacob’s descendants, whom he loves.
Interlude
I do wish i could hear a sample of wat an interlude would sound like eh? Noone else curious?
God has ascended with a mighty shout.
The LORD has ascended with trumpets blaring.
6
Sing praise to God, sing praises;
sing praise to our King, sing praises!
7
For God is the King over all the earth.
Praise him with a psalm!
8
God reigns above the nations,
sitting on his holy throne.
9
The rulers of the world have gathered together.
They join us in praising the God of Abraham.
For all the kings of the earth belong to God.
He is highly honored everywhere.
I hav another picture to go with this psalm, but sadly tis at home, i shall try and scan it and put it in later if i hav the time, well i best be off now…….soon my lil space fellows,

Psalm 46 – Passin time while ppl finish their lunch lol
December 19, 2005
Psalm 46
For the choir director: A psalm of the descendants of Korah, to be sung by soprano voices[a]. A song.
Hehe i love the way that the type of voice is even specified here…..note is says soprano voices, not alto or nethin but actually soprano…….how long ago was that decided on then?
God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
2
So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3
Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!
Interlude
A river brings joy to the city of our God,
the sacred home of the Most High.
5
God himself lives in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
God will protect it at the break of day.
Talking about heaven i shall assume….lol
6
The nations are in an uproar,
and kingdoms crumble!
God thunders,
and the earth melts!
7
The LORD Almighty is here among us;
the God of Israel[b] is our fortress.
Interlude
Come, see the glorious works of the LORD:
See how he brings destruction upon the world
9
and causes wars to end throughout the earth.
He breaks the bow and snaps the spear in two;
he burns the shields with fire.
10
"Be silent, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world."
11
The LORD Almighty is here among us;
the God of Israel is our fortress.
So similar to David’s psalms, i tell ya…..i do wish i could have heard someone sing this song, so that i could hear how cool this sounds. And when u think about it…..they would sound weird in english cause werent they originally written in aramaic?? im not bible expert so someone feel free to correct me here lol. They prob sound really cool in aramaic and much much nicer than they would if they were sung in english. But id still love to hear one all the same,
Tis later my ducklings (haha where that come from, k i can blame u for that one katie )

Psalm 45 – Updating today…..working afternoon instead
December 19, 2005Psalm 45
For the choir director: A psalm of the descendants of Korah, to be sung to the tune Lilies. A love song.
1
My heart overflows with a beautiful thought!
I will recite a lovely poem to the king,
for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.
2
You are the most handsome of all.
Gracious words stream from your lips.
God himself has blessed you forever.
3
Put on your sword, O mighty warrior!
You are so glorious, so majestic!
I am guessing that here, the song is being written about someone since it said in the verse above how God has blessed you…..
4
In your majesty, ride out to victory,
defending truth, humility, and justice.
Go forth to perform awe-inspiring deeds!
5
Your arrows are sharp,
piercing your enemies’ hearts.
The nations fall before you,
lying down beneath your feet.
6
Your throne, O God,[a] endures forever and ever.
Your royal power is expressed in justice.
And now it changes to be talking about God, and no longer aimed at whichever person the author was talking about. Written by a girl mayb? Any thoughts in here, please……
7
You love what is right and hate what is wrong.
Therefore God, your God, has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.
I do like this verse I dont know why…..its just cool. To think that even God hates things….but only things which are wrong.
8
Your robes are perfumed with myrrh, aloes, and cassia.
In palaces decorated with ivory,
you are entertained by the music of harps.
9
Kings’ daughters are among your concubines.
At your right side stands the queen,
wearing jewelry of finest gold from Ophir!
10
Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say.
Forget your people and your homeland far away.
11
For your royal husband delights in your beauty;
honor him, for he is your lord.
12
The princes of Tyre[b] will shower you with gifts.
People of great wealth will entreat your favor.
13
The bride, a princess, waits within her chamber,
dressed in a gown woven with gold.
Is this verse talking about the royal daughter still do you think? Or meerly describing how things will be for her if she leaves?
14
In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king,
accompanied by her bridesmaids.
15
What a joyful, enthusiastic procession
as they enter the king’s palace!
16
Your sons will become kings like their father.
You will make them rulers over many lands.
17
I will bring honor to your name in every generation.
Therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.
I did take a particular liking to some of the verses in this psalm, although on the whole this psalm does confuse me a little, i would appreciate anyones insites on this so we can figure it out together……well anyway hav to be goin but please post!

Weekend – Update
December 17, 2005Psalm 44
December 12, 2005O God, we have heard it with our own ears–
our ancestors have told us
of all you did in other days,
in days long ago:
2
You drove out the pagan nations
and gave all the land to our ancestors;
you crushed their enemies,
setting our ancestors free.
Talking about awesome things which our God did in the past for His ppl eh?? Guess wat…..He continues to do so.
3
They did not conquer the land with their swords;
it was not their own strength that gave them victory.
It was by your mighty power that they succeeded;
it was because you favored them and smiled on them.
Everything we accomplish is by Him not by our own strength or power, remember that. The gifts you hav were given to you by Him so that you could glorify Him, so if you can play sports, play them for Him, if you can sing, Sing to Him, if you dance, dance to Him with all you’ve got, the list goes on and on……
4
You are my King and my God.
You command victories for your people.[a]
5
Only by your power can we push back our enemies;
only in your name can we trample our foes.
6
I do not trust my bow;
I do not count on my sword to save me.
7
It is you who gives us victory over our enemies;
it is you who humbles those who hate us.
See when we trust on Him He takes care of the troubles in our life, He may not necessarily take them away but He does use them for good in us.
8
O God, we give glory to you all day long
and constantly praise your name.
Interlude
9
But now you have tossed us aside in dishonor.
You no longer lead our armies to battle.
10
You make us retreat from our enemies
and allow them to plunder our land.
11
You have treated us like sheep waiting to be slaughtered;
you have scattered us among the nations.
12
You sold us–your precious people–for a pittance.
You valued us at nothing at all.
13
You have caused all our neighbors to mock us.
We are an object of scorn and derision to the nations around us.
14
You have made us the butt of their jokes;
we are scorned by the whole world.
Hehe bet ya didnt ever expect to hear that sentence in the bible now did ya…..lol i know i didnt.
15
We can’t escape the constant humiliation;
shame is written across our faces.
16
All we hear are the taunts of our mockers.
All we see are our vengeful enemies.
17
All this has happened despite our loyalty to you.
We have not violated your covenant.
18
Our hearts have not deserted you.
We have not strayed from your path.
19
Yet you have crushed us in the desert.
You have covered us with darkness and death.
20
If we had turned away from worshiping our God
or spread our hands in prayer to foreign gods,
21
God would surely have known it,
for he knows the secrets of every heart.
Quite a scary thought really, theres stuff in my heart which i wish noone would ever know, including God and im sure thats the same for everyone. But guess wat…..He does know and He still loves you regardless of wats in there.
22
For your sake we are killed every day;
we are being slaughtered like sheep.
23
Wake up, O Lord! Why do you sleep?
Get up! Do not reject us forever.
24
Why do you look the other way?
Why do you ignore our suffering and oppression?
25
We collapse in the dust,
lying face down in the dirt.
26
Rise up! Come and help us!
Save us because of your unfailing love.
I have to admit i can relate to this whenever it feels like nothing is goin rite…..tis like where are you God and why have you abandoned us?? But u know wat…..He’s there and He hasnt gone anywhere…..he’s with you and always will be, He will guide you and pick you up when u fall. Just because He doesnt feel close to you doesnt mean He isnt rite beside you. Dont lose faith because of emotions or circumstances instead……hold on to wat u know is true and persist in pursuing Christ with all you’ve got.
Later my lil friends,

Psalm 43 – Fairly Short Installment
December 12, 2005O God, take up my cause!
Defend me against these ungodly people.
Rescue me from these unjust liars.
2
For you are God, my only safe haven.
Why have you tossed me aside?
Why must I wander around in darkness,
oppressed by my enemies?
Does feel a lil like that, tis like God you are the place where i find refuge, then why in the midst of all that does it feel like you are so far away?
3
Send out your light and your truth;
let them guide me.
Let them lead me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you live.
4
There I will go to the altar of God,
to God–the source of all my joy.
I will praise you with my harp,
O God, my God!
5
Why am I discouraged?
Why so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again–
my Savior and my God!
Then u think about who He is and everything He has done and you remember the need to run to Him and to keep Him the place where u find refuge and you know that everything will be alrite.
Anyway post comments folks, later all

Psalm 42 – Book II New Beginnings for Insites
December 10, 2005As the deer pants for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God.
2
I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I come and stand before him?
I like the impatience going on here, kinda like when can i stand before him like netime soon huh huh???
3
Day and night, I have only tears for food,
while my enemies continually taunt me, saying,
"Where is this God of yours?"
4
My heart is breaking
as I remember how it used to be:
I walked among the crowds of worshipers,
leading a great procession to the house of God,
singing for joy and giving thanks–
it was the sound of a great celebration!
5
Why am I discouraged?
Why so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again–
my Savior and 6my God!
Now I am deeply discouraged,
but I will remember your kindness–
from Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan,
from the land of Mount Mizar.
I like the way that……no not David but apparently the descendants of Korah (any idea who they were btw?), they show how one move from bein discouraged to being full of praise. Like they’re showing that even though God appears so far away……they can remain strong in faith. A big encouragement so I find anyway.
7
I hear the tumult of the raging seas
as your waves and surging tides sweep over me.
8
Through each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life.
9
"O God my rock," I cry,
"Why have you forsaken me?
Why must I wander in darkness,
oppressed by my enemies?"
10
Their taunts pierce me like a fatal wound.
They scoff, "Where is this God of yours?"
11
Why am I discouraged?
Why so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again–
my Savior and my God!
I just found this mornin that i could relate to this psalm, was encouaraging to read……i love it when that kind of thing happens dont u?
Anyway……please post!

Psalm 41 – AC Project and David again
December 8, 2005Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor.
The LORD rescues them in times of trouble.
2
The LORD protects them
and keeps them alive.
He gives them prosperity
and rescues them from their enemies.
3
The LORD nurses them when they are sick
and eases their pain and discomfort.
4
"O LORD," I prayed, "have mercy on me.
Heal me, for I have sinned against you."
5
But my enemies say nothing but evil about me.
"How soon will he die and be forgotten?" they ask.
I have to admit ive neva come across anybody whos ever told me that they wish i could hurry up and die. Obviously ppl in Davids day were perhaps a lil more open about their feelings?
6
They visit me as if they are my friends,
but all the while they gather gossip,
and when they leave, they spread it everywhere.
Now this i will admit still happens……ppl will act as though they are ur best friend and then behind ur back talk badly about u in front of other ppl. Still hurts when u hear about this after rather than them just tellin u to your face.
7
All who hate me whisper about me,
imagining the worst for me.
8
"Whatever he has, it is fatal," they say.
"He will never get out of that bed!"
9
Even my best friend, the one I trusted completely,
the one who shared my food,
has turned against me.
10
LORD, have mercy on me.
Make me well again, so I can pay them back!
I dont agree with this verse, kinda like make me well so i can do something back to them. Duno, just dont like his attitude here.
11
I know that you are pleased with me,
for you have not let my enemy triumph over me.
12
You have preserved my life because I am innocent;
you have brought me into your presence forever.
13
Bless the LORD, the God of Israel,
who lives forever from eternal ages past.
Amen and amen!
OK well i couldnt think of much to say so ppl please post comments on this one. And the total number of projects was 143…..in case you were interested.
