Psalm 39 – Determination, Forgiveness and Smiling

December 4, 2005
Well we have another psalm this morning, about trying to clean up your act and then pleading to God for forgiveness too. David yet again brings us a clear image of a familiar picture here, this one was even written for a choir director, i wish i could have been around to hear the music they would write to go along with things like this:

1
I said to myself, "I will watch what I do
and not sin in what I say.
    I will curb my tongue
when the ungodly are around me."

So often do I say this and actually feel compelled to stop doing something, so full of determination.

    2
But as I stood there in silence–
not even speaking of good things–
the turmoil within me grew to the bursting point.

But yes yet again just like this, i am weak as i am human.

    3
My thoughts grew hot within me
       and began to burn,
       igniting a fire of words:

    4
"LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered,
and that my life is fleeing away.

    5
My life is no longer than the width of my hand.
       An entire lifetime is just a moment to you;
human existence is but a breath."

Big reminder of how we are very insignificant on God’s standards…….yet He cares for us no less than anything else.

Interlude
 6
    We are merely moving shadows,
and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.
We heap up wealth for someone else to spend.

This is true, humans spend their lives making money, to leave it to other people who we love. But money is not everything, seems annoying to think how much this world revolves around it yet it isnt important……so many things in life are more important, yet this world revolves around something which is not.

    7
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?
My only hope is in you.

    8
    Rescue me from my rebellion,
for even fools mock me when I rebel.

    9
I am silent before you; I won’t say a word.
For my punishment is from you.

    10
    Please, don’t punish me anymore!
I am exhausted by the blows from your hand.

    11
When you discipline people for their sins,
their lives can be crushed like the life of a moth.
Human existence is as frail as breath.

Good thing we have a loving Father who does not kill us off when we do things which are wrong. We are frail yet instead of harming us, He picks us up and carries us keeping us moving forward.

Interlude
 12
    Hear my prayer, O LORD!
Listen to my cries for help!
       Don’t ignore my tears.
    For I am your guest–
       a traveler passing through,
as my ancestors were before me.

Solid reminder that we are only visiting this world, we have passports now containing visas to heaven, how cool is that thought? Dont forget though, we also have the power to help guide ppl so they too can be issued a visa, dont forget that.

    13
Spare me so I can smile again
before I am gone and exist no more.

Hehe who would have thought smile was in here……but yet it is……so go ahead and smile, come on you know u want to…… U never know how many will be fitted into your lifetime.

Psalm 38 – Behind again…..catch up #1

December 4, 2005
Hello Hello, Well isnt it funny how after a long weekend, everything is behind. I mean even my posting is behind on here. Well that will change shortly i hope. So yes….psalm 28……from a couple of days ago.

1
O LORD, don’t rebuke me in your anger!
Don’t discipline me in your rage!

    2
    Your arrows have struck deep,
and your blows are crushing me.

    3
    Because of your anger, my whole body is sick;
my health is broken because of my sins.

    4
    My guilt overwhelms me–
it is a burden too heavy to bear.

I will admit often the feeling following sin is unbearable. You know when uve done something wrong, and u really really wana take it back. Feeling of remorse as wat Elaine was discussing last nite.

    5
    My wounds fester and stink
       because of my foolish sins.

    6
I am bent over and racked with pain.
My days are filled with grief.

    7
A raging fever burns within me,
       and my health is broken.

    8
I am exhausted and completely crushed.
My groans come from an anguished heart.

    9
    You know what I long for, Lord;
       you hear my every sigh.

    10
My heart beats wildly, my strength fails,
       and I am going blind.

    11
My loved ones and friends stay away, fearing my disease.
Even my own family stands at a distance.

    12
    Meanwhile, my enemies lay traps for me;
they make plans to ruin me.
They think up treacherous deeds all day long.

    13
But I am deaf to all their threats.
I am silent before them as one who cannot speak.

    14
    I choose to hear nothing,
       and I make no reply.

    15
For I am waiting for you, O LORD.
You must answer for me, O Lord my God.

    16
I prayed, "Don’t let my enemies gloat over me
       or rejoice at my downfall."

    17
I am on the verge of collapse,
       facing constant pain.

    18
    But I confess my sins;
I am deeply sorry for what I have done.

    19
    My enemies are many;
they hate me though I have done nothing against them.

    20
They repay me evil for good
and oppose me because I stand for the right.

    21
    Do not abandon me, LORD.
Do not stand at a distance, my God.

    22
Come quickly to help me, O Lord my savior.

David has gone into his asking God for help against enemies, i do wish each psalm would come with a little paragraph to describe wat David was goin through at the time. Wat sin he is in fact referring too…..just a lil background info so we can prob relate even better to the guy. You know if it was researched you probably could find info on each psalm.

I do love the way he truly acts repentful and sorry tho…..cause he is obviously trying to fix his ways and make himself more christlike which you do hav to admire.

Psalm 37 – ~HappyLand~

November 30, 2005
Hello, Hows it? As the South africans say……of which all yous should apparently be down at the rugby 7s according to all the ppl i work with lol. So yea…..todays psalm is pretty long guys but tis a good one:

1
    Don’t worry about the wicked.
Don’t envy those who do wrong.

    2
For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like springtime flowers, they soon wither.

    3
Trust in the LORD and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.

    4
    Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

This is cool to think, that He will give us our heart’s desires. I believe this is because as we are made more like Him, we begin to desire the same things He wants for us. Then we are much happier ppl dont u agree?

    5
Commit everything you do to the LORD.
Trust him, and he will help you.

    6
He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

    7
Be still in the presence of the LORD,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.

    8
    Stop your anger!
       Turn from your rage!
    Do not envy others–
       it only leads to harm.

The use of the exclamation mark here says it all, STOP your anger…….noone can accomplish anything by getting angry. And envy will neva change anythin either, it will only lead to harm ie u not getting on with ppl or bein ungrateful for wat u do hav.

    9
For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land.

    10
In a little while, the wicked will disappear.
Though you look for them, they will be gone.

    11
    Those who are gentle and lowly will possess the land;
they will live in prosperous security.

    12
    The wicked plot against the godly;
they snarl at them in defiance.

    13
    But the Lord just laughs,
for he sees their day of judgment coming.

    14
    The wicked draw their swords
       and string their bows
to kill the poor and the oppressed,
to slaughter those who do right.

    15
But they will be stabbed through the heart with their own swords,
and their bows will be broken.

    16
It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and possess much.

I agree with this, tis like oh yea in this world i could hav a lot, i could be famous and own soooo many material things and then id be happy. U sure about that??? For if joy comes from God, then surely thats where u find happiness…..not through anything else which is superficial.

    17
For the strength of the wicked will be shattered,
but the LORD takes care of the godly.

    18
Day by day the LORD takes care of the innocent,
and they will receive a reward that lasts forever.

    19
    They will survive through hard times;
even in famine they will have more than enough.

    20
    But the wicked will perish.
The LORD’s enemies are like flowers in a field–
       they will disappear like smoke.

    21
The wicked borrow and never repay,
but the godly are generous givers.

    22
Those blessed by the LORD will inherit the land,
but those cursed by him will die.

    23
The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD.
He delights in every detail of their lives.

This is reminding us that in order to be godly people……we need to follow the instructions which we can find within His word. And also that God takes delight in every detail of our lives, u know he even cares wat u ate for breakfast?!?!?! Not many other ppl do im sure…..but He does. He also cares how many times your eye muscles hav moved in order to read this much.

    24
Though they stumble, they will not fall,
for the LORD holds them by the hand.

This is my favorite verse throughout this psalm, tis like we are small children who cant walk by ourselves but God holds us by the hand and prevents us from falling. He will lead us and show us the way.

    25
Once I was young, and now I am old.
Yet I have never seen the godly forsaken,
nor seen their children begging for bread.

    26
The godly always give generous loans to others,
and their children are a blessing.

    27
Turn from evil and do good,
and you will live in the land forever.

    28
    For the LORD loves justice,
and he will never abandon the godly.
He will keep them safe forever,
but the children of the wicked will perish.

    29
The godly will inherit the land
       and will live there forever.

    30
    The godly offer good counsel;
they know what is right from wrong.

    31
They fill their hearts with God’s law,
so they will never slip from his path.

Thats why it is so important to memorize scripture…….so that our hearts will be filled with His law and understandin of His ways. So that we can stay close to Him and know how He wants us to live.

    32
Those who are evil spy on the godly,
waiting for an excuse to kill them.

    33
But the LORD will not let the wicked succeed
or let the godly be condemned when they are brought before the judge.

    34
Don’t be impatient for the LORD to act!
       Travel steadily along his path.
He will honor you, giving you the land.
You will see the wicked destroyed.

Hehe i hav to admit this verse is hard, patience is definitely something im working on. Rememeber that no matter wat u are goin through, God is at work, His plan is bein executed here and now, not only in the future when He returns.

    35
I myself have seen it happen–
proud and evil people thriving like mighty trees.

    36
But when I looked again, they were gone!
Though I searched for them, I could not find them!

    37
Look at those who are honest and good,
for a wonderful future lies before those who love peace.

    38
    But the wicked will be destroyed;
       they have no future.

    39
    The LORD saves the godly;
he is their fortress in times of trouble.

    40
    The LORD helps them,
       rescuing them from the wicked.
    He saves them,
and they find shelter in him.

So see…..even thought its long, i do believe i rather like this psalm, it is encouraging and full of good stuff.

Later.

Psalm 36 – Justification, Sanctification and Songs within Psalms

November 29, 2005
Afternoon Afternoon, doesnt quite have the same ring as Morning Morning now does it.  Guess thats just the way the world makes sense yet again haha. Anyway hows all ppls doin? Hopefully good…….anyway well new news in ~LisaLand~ TM hmm…..not much goin on i will admit. Except in the crazy world of AC systems i reached 100 everyone applauding now…….throwing roses too?  Now come on stay sane now ppl hehe  Anyway here is todays psalm, wrapped with comments, funny how ppl say wrapped with hugs or something, so this is wrapped with comments, yea ok nevamind, makes sense to me  anyway here ya go:

1
Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts.
They have no fear of God to restrain them.
Very true, if we dont believe there is a God and have no fear of being judged then really there is nothing stopping us from doing wat we want.

    2
    In their blind conceit,
they cannot see how wicked they really are.

Very true, ppl often hav this illusion that they are ok ppl, no no no we are ALL sinners, every single one of us does wrong or has done wrong at some point in our lives. We cant help it cause we were made that way.

    3
Everything they say is crooked and deceitful.
They refuse to act wisely or do what is good.

    4
They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots.
Their course of action is never good.
They make no attempt to turn from evil.

    5
    Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.

I love the way that David suddenly praises God mid-psalm here……isnt this sort of in the song Your Love oh Lord, by third day i believe. Sorry i just remembered it was asked that if we came across scripture which is in songs to mention it. Well theres parts of this psalm throughout that song i believe.

    6
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.

Yes this first part, which continues with I will lift my voice, to worship you my king, I will find my strength in the shadow of your wings. (See verse 7)

7 How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
    All humanity finds shelter
in the shadow of your wings.

Anyway gettin back on track to commenting rather than singing…..no not singing out loud rite now but i am singing in my head. All of us find shelter in the shadow of His wings, any thoughts on this here as Im pretty sure that in order to find shelter from God you need to seek God and not all of humanity seeks God rite?

    8
You feed them from the abundance of your own house,
letting them drink from your rivers of delight.

    9
For you are the fountain of life,
the light by which we see.

    10
    Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you;
give justice to those with honest hearts.

    11
    Don’t let the proud trample me;
don’t let the wicked push me around.

    12
    Look! They have fallen!
They have been thrown down, never to rise again.

This reminded me of a conversation I had yesterday, not sure entirely how…. but we were discussing the difference between justification and sanctification. And how its incredibly important that christians dont get caught by the trap of legalism.

As soon as we accept Christ into our lives, we are justified before God. We are made holy, in relationship with Him from then onward, nothing we can do can ever change that.

Once we accept Him we enter the continuous process of sanctification, by which we are made more Christlike. Therefore if we sin and mess up, it doesnt make us a ‘worse christian’ than someone who doesnt, we never mess up the justification process. We can always come before God confident that He will accept us, we only mess up in the sanctification process. But it is by these mess up that we learn.

So neva be discouraged that you are no longer right with God because you constantly mess up, this is a human illusion. As soon as you accept Christ, you are justified. End of Story.

Sorry i know that was off topic but i felt like adding that in there. Later y’all……

Psalm 35 – Loopy Lil Me

November 28, 2005
Morning All, Hows u all doin? I went to Bur Dubai last nite for a computer course, note to self, make more than one new CD to listen to while sitting in traffic goin down there lol. And u need to leave jumeria more than an hr and 15 before u need to be down there…..sound like fun to neone? Lol of course i thought so……good so ill take u guys down as passengers to accompany me next time  yea yea i know ur all goin…..wats this blonde goin on about this morning, hehe well tricked ya cause technically its AFTERNOON hehe. Ok ill stop bein weird and post the psalm, it is 27 verses long this morning……so why dont u guys go ahead and read it all in one go for a change, and ill post my comments seperatly just like i want you guys too hehe. So here ya go:

1
O LORD, oppose those who oppose me.
Declare war on those who are attacking me.

    2
Put on your armor, and take up your shield.
Prepare for battle, and come to my aid.

    3
Lift up your spear and javelin
and block the way of my enemies.
    Let me hear you say,
       "I am your salvation!"

    4
    Humiliate and disgrace those trying to kill me;
       turn them back in confusion.

    5
Blow them away like chaff in the wind–
a wind sent by the angel of the LORD.

    6
Make their path dark and slippery,
with the angel of the LORD pursuing them.

    7
Although I did them no wrong,
they laid a trap for me.
Although I did them no wrong,
they dug a pit for me.

    8
So let sudden ruin overtake them!
Let them be caught in the snare they set for me!
Let them fall to destruction in the pit they dug for me.

    9
Then I will rejoice in the LORD.
I will be glad because he rescues me.

    10
I will praise him from the bottom of my heart:
"LORD, who can compare with you?
Who else rescues the weak and helpless from the strong?
Who else protects the poor and needy from those who want to rob them?"

    11
    Malicious witnesses testify against me.
They accuse me of things I don’t even know about.

    12
They repay me with evil for the good I do.
       I am sick with despair.

    13
    Yet when they were ill,
       I grieved for them.
I even fasted and prayed for them,
       but my prayers returned unanswered.

    14
I was sad, as though they were my friends or family,
as if I were grieving for my own mother.

    15
    But they are glad now that I am in trouble;
they gleefully join together against me.
    I am attacked by people I don’t even know;
they hurl slander at me continually.

    16
They mock me with the worst kind of profanity,
       and they snarl at me.

    17
How long, O Lord, will you look on and do nothing?
Rescue me from their fierce attacks.
Protect my life from these lions!

    18
Then I will thank you in front of the entire congregation.
I will praise you before all the people.

    19
    Don’t let my treacherous enemies
       rejoice over my defeat.
Don’t let those who hate me without cause
       gloat over my sorrow.

    20
    They don’t talk of peace;
       they plot against innocent people
who are minding their own business.

    21
They shout that they have seen me doing wrong.
       "Aha," they say. "Aha!
With our own eyes we saw him do it!"

    22
O LORD, you know all about this.
       Do not stay silent.
Don’t abandon me now, O Lord.

    23
Wake up! Rise to my defense!
Take up my case, my God and my Lord.

    24
Declare me "not guilty," O LORD my God, for you give justice.
Don’t let my enemies laugh about me in my troubles.

    25
Don’t let them say, "Look! We have what we wanted!
Now we will eat him alive!"

    26
May those who rejoice at my troubles
       be humiliated and disgraced.
May those who triumph over me
be covered with shame and dishonor.

    27
But give great joy to those
who have stood with me in my defense.
Let them continually say, "Great is the LORD,
       who enjoys helping his servant."

    28
Then I will tell everyone of your justice and goodness,
and I will praise you all day long.

Hehe see in fact its 28 verse long…..just testing you to make sure youre paying attention

Psalm 34 – Running out of David’s Psalms so post quickly

November 27, 2005
Hello Hello All, Yes thats rite, we only have another 10 or so more of Davids psalms before we move on, so i suggest u post now………thats my power of persuasion for gettin you guys to make comments i suppose. Come on say wateva u like, wherever the wind happens to blow you…….say wat comes to mind when u read them, even if not directly related. Please, not even for me  hehe……my best attempt at giving ppl the puppy eyes online i suppose
Well i have a long rest of the day today, working this morning, more AC research and all, fun fun fun for everyone……then quick lunch at home i suppose, then off to jebel ali to intern this afternoon, then home for quick dinner, then off to bur dubai to do a graphic designing class, yay!! Does sound like fun altho i will admit i am a lil nervous about it all.
Lets see…..wat else is new, not much else………im afraid my excitment only consists of being crazy busy in one day but not necessarily exciting busy, just doin things which take up time and arent necessarily overly interesting hehe. So anyway…….yes im now posting yesterdays psalm, its kinda long which is why i waited, i wanted you guys to have a chance to post on 33 first……..so neway hopefully uve now considered posting so on todays incredibly long psalm, you have NO excuse for not thinking of something to say when so much is said alrite??

1
I will praise the LORD at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.

    2
    I will boast only in the LORD;
let all who are discouraged take heart.

Still something i constantly struggle with, only boasting in the Lord, not in anything which i do. Struggle with this a lot i will admit.

    3
    Come, let us tell of the LORD’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.

    4
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me,
freeing me from all my fears.

The Lord does answer, and He definitely does listen…..ever been scared about something and prayed to Him about it, and suddenly been overwhelmed with peace??? Tis an incredible feeling.

    5
    Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

Reminds me of Moses (correct me if thats wrong) wanting to see Gods face, after he had done so his face was glowing so much that it hurt ppl to look at him, would be kinda cool to be displaying that sort of joy and to have that kind of glow about u wouldnt it?

    6
I cried out to the LORD in my suffering, and he heard me.
He set me free from all my fears.

    7
For the angel of the LORD guards all who fear him,
       and he rescues them.

    8
Taste and see that the LORD is good.
Oh, the joys of those who trust in him!

    9
Let the LORD’s people show him reverence,
for those who honor him will have all they need.

    10
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
but those who trust in the LORD will never lack any good thing.

    11
Come, my children, and listen to me,
and I will teach you to fear the LORD.

    12
Do any of you want to live
a life that is long and good?

Of course we all do, we desire to remain here to make a difference and to be used by Him do we not?

    13
    Then watch your tongue!
Keep your lips from telling lies!

Ah this bein the catch, we have deceitful tongues, and we tell lies often do we not? How often have u been talking to someone and u lie about something, without evening meaning to, but the lie came out before the mind could think it better to tell the truth or to say nothing at all?

    14
Turn away from evil and do good.
Work hard at living in peace with others.

    15
    The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right;
his ears are open to their cries for help.

    16
    But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil;
he will erase their memory from the earth.

Now heres something to watch out for, you do evil and the Lord will wipe your memory from the earth, noone will remember you. Do good for God and ppl will……..

    17
The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.

    18
    The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.

    19
    The righteous face many troubles,
but the LORD rescues them from each and every one.

Ive often wondered about this, if God rescues us then why do they happen in the first place, ok i know the answer too……lol lets just answer my own question eh or does anyone else have any insite first??

    20
For the LORD protects them from harm–
not one of their bones[a] will be broken!

    21
Calamity will surely overtake the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be punished.

    22
But the LORD will redeem those who serve him.
Everyone who trusts in him will be freely pardoned

OK ppls……so post and keep trusting in Him, please post any insites on verse 19 if you can think of anything. See yas all soons,

Psalm 33

November 26, 2005
Well hello hello….lets see so exciting news so far today……hmm ok nothing interesting has happened so there isnt any lol  so anyway here’s yesterdays psalm, i may get to todays in a while:

1
Let the godly sing with joy to the LORD,
for it is fitting to praise him.

    2
    Praise the LORD with melodies on the lyre;
make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.

I do have a question, wat is a lyre? And does a normal harp have only 10 strings?

    3
    Sing new songs of praise to him;
play skillfully on the harp and sing with joy.

    4
For the word of the LORD holds true,
and everything he does is worthy of our trust.

EVERYTHING is worthy of our TRUST……thats a tough one eh? Especially if we have to trust in things we dont understand yea? Really tests ur faith, thats for sure.

    5
He loves whatever is just and good,
and his unfailing love fills the earth.

    6
    The LORD merely spoke,
       and the heavens were created.
    He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born.

Isnt that amazing to think about……He merely had to say, and it was…..even the stars, they look so amazing dont they when u take time out to actually sit and look at them.

    7
He gave the sea its boundaries
and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.

Ever think about it in that way, not that the land is surrounded by the sea but that the land is wat locks in oceans, instead of the land floatin around in the ocean, the land actually locks the ocean. K im sure u guys r goin wat u on about?? Lol cant really explain it but that just kinda seemed different to the way id always thought about it.

    8
Let everyone in the world fear the LORD,
and let everyone stand in awe of him.

    9
For when he spoke, the world began!
       It appeared at his command.

    10
The LORD shatters the plans of the nations
       and thwarts all their schemes.

    11
    But the LORD’s plans stand firm forever;
his intentions can never be shaken.

I like that verse, His plans cant be shaken……

    12
What joy for the nation whose God is the LORD,
whose people he has chosen for his own.

    13
The LORD looks down from heaven
and sees the whole human race.

    14
    From his throne he observes
all who live on the earth.

    15
    He made their hearts,
so he understands everything they do.

Funny how God knows us well enough to know the intentions of our hearts without us even tellin him huh? Tis quite cool really, is like sometimes we can come before Him and even if we dont know wat to say……He understands anyway and we dont even hav to say anything. The only time we as humans ever experience this in the slightest is when someone we know really well doesnt even hav to ask wats wrong, they just know. And even then, if that can happen between humans, how much greater will it be between us and Him?

    16
The best-equipped army cannot save a king,
nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.

    17
Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory–
for all its strength, it cannot save you.

    18
But the LORD watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love.

    19
    He rescues them from death
and keeps them alive in times of famine.

    20
We depend on the LORD alone to save us.
Only he can help us, protecting us like a shield.

    21
    In him our hearts rejoice,
for we are trusting in his holy name.

    22
Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD,
for our hope is in you alone.

Ok folks….so thats all for psalm 33…..David still goin strong in his praises to God……i always find the psalms encouraging…..and i hav to admit, i think doin one a day has really affected my moods lol.

In a while crocodiles,

Psalm 32

November 25, 2005
Hey Hey All, So its friday, been a busy weekend, cant believe its gone already pretty much eh? So often time seems to fly by, i mean think about it, christmas is only a month away, its almost half way through the year which I have as my Gap Year this yr. Tis very sad, yet also very exciting as I think of all the plans God has for me in the future.
Anyway, David’s back with Psalm 32…..ok david didnt go anywhere, rather im back posting David’s messages and here is wat it says:

1
    Oh, what joy for those
       whose rebellion is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!

Rather, all who have accepted Jesus and are followers of Him.

    2
    Yes, what joy for those
whose record the LORD has cleared of sin,
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!

Think about it, we who follow Him live in complete honesty, we are completely 100% forgiven, isnt it wonderful that He is not picky over wat He forgives us for, He forgives us for it ALL!

    3
When I refused to confess my sin,
       I was weak and miserable,
and I groaned all day long.

    4
Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.

 5
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide them.
I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD."
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
See how easy it is to wipe away the confusion, guilt and pain we hold up inside us due to often our stubborness to admit we need saving. I will admit, often i like to think i can do things without anyones help and i will struggle with it all before admitting to someone who im close to ok look i need help. Look how easy it is to wipe away a lot of our pain, by accepting Jesus. Yes, we’re not promised lives which will be painfree but we are promised by God that He will never leave us, and everything is done according to His purpose and is for our own good, not to harm us.

 6
Therefore, let all the godly confess their rebellion to you while there is time,
that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.
Dont u see the seriousness of all this, someday we await judgement from God. Unless we have Jesus to speak up for us………we will be receiving His wrath. And i tell ya theres no way i wana be on the receiving end of that. David calls it the floodwaters of wrath…..sounds almost like a drowning event, kinda like the wrath is so powerful, just like during a flood when we get pulled around by the powerful water and we can’t escape no matter wat we do.

    7
    For you are my hiding place;
       you protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory.

 8
The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.

    9
Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control."

    10
Many sorrows come to the wicked,
but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD.

Unfailing love comes to those who  trust Him, see it does not say that no sorrow comes to those who trust Him, but that we receive His love.

    11
So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey him!
Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!

His love for us is beyond our comprehension…..we will never be able to understand why He takes an interest in us even though we are like dust, or vapour to Him. Yet He does, and He longs for us to seek Him, to find Him and have Him answer us.

I just want to encourage you guys, to clearly look at where you stand before Him rite now…….are you headed for His wrath? Or do you truly know His love in your life?

Psalm 31 – Hey anyone noticed my spectacular counting?

November 22, 2005
Hello Hello…..so in latest news, hows it all goin? Tonite i is off to the DAA play….very excited y’all, very excited of course thats after i wash the car and do some housekeeping stuff…….wow i feel so old  haha. So yea…..will be doing that, oh HEY and im goin to a thanksgiving dinner, for the first time in my life on thurs (obviously since thurs is thanksgiving) hehe now that i AM excited about…….should be fun fun fun, fun for everyone lol.

Lets see in other news, i went shopping yesterday and yes actually bought stuff lol……wat can i say, you know how when ur not specifically looking for anything you always seem to find stuff and when u r lookin for something u neva get anything. hmm……well lets just say im spent out for this month now hehe  (no i didnt buy that much)

In other new news, i bet ya guys didnt know that virgin atlantic is gona start flying to the middle east in march now did ya hehe……im so well informed i know  thats wat happens when u hav a job in researchin i suppose. Oh well………hehe. Oh yea and the database (drumroll please) is actually sorted YYYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!! Big Smiles all round  After about 2 and a half – 3 hrs of fixing it yesterday.

And i finished watching war of the worlds too…….interesting movie i hav to say……ok well thats about all from me i suppose.

Heres the psalm:

1
    O LORD, I have come to you for protection;
don’t let me be put to shame.
Rescue me, for you always do what is right.

For wat u always do is rite….emphasis on those words there

    2
    Bend down and listen to me;
       rescue me quickly.
Be for me a great rock of safety,
a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.

    3
You are my rock and my fortress.
For the honor of your name, lead me out of this peril.

    4
Pull me from the trap my enemies set for me,
for I find protection in you alone.

    5
I entrust my spirit into your hand.
Rescue me, LORD, for you are a faithful God.

I entrust my Spirit into your hand…….now that sounds cool i hav to say and i will admit a very tough thing to do.

    6
I hate those who worship worthless idols.
       I trust in the LORD.

    7
I am overcome with joy because of your unfailing love,
for you have seen my troubles,
and you care about the anguish of my soul.

How often are we actually overcome with joy because of His unfailing love? And to think we dont make that big of deal out of Him a lot of the time, yet He still cares about the anguish of our souls. Just shows how amazing and loving He truly is.

    8
You have not handed me over to my enemy
but have set me in a safe place.

Hidden from sight of the enemy and protected by Him……..in the shadow of your wings like in a song. Sorry i constantly have songs stuck in my head.

    9
Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am in distress.
My sight is blurred because of my tears.
My body and soul are withering away.

So often does this happen, when u cant see cause ur crying so hard. Tis a horrible feeling, you know i cant figure out crying, cause it makes us feel better, yet really it does abslutely nothing. Duno if anyone can answer on this one, why do we cry?

    10
    I am dying from grief;
my years are shortened by sadness.
    Misery[a] has drained my strength;
I am wasting away from within.

    11
I am scorned by all my enemies
       and despised by my neighbors–
even my friends are afraid to come near me.
When they see me on the street,
       they turn the other way.

    12
I have been ignored as if I were dead,
as if I were a broken pot.

This reminded me of Arun Matthew during the service and how he talked about the broken pot which did hav a very significant purpose.

    13
I have heard the many rumors about me,
and I am surrounded by terror.
    My enemies conspire against me,
       plotting to take my life.

    14
But I am trusting you, O LORD,
       saying, "You are my God!"

    15
My future is in your hands.
Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.

Always something to constantly remind urself, my future is in ur hands Lord. I need not fear lol.

    16
Let your favor shine on your servant.
In your unfailing love, save me.

    17
Don’t let me be disgraced, O LORD,
for I call out to you for help.
    Let the wicked be disgraced;
let them lie silent in the grave.

    18
May their lying lips be silenced–
those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly.

    19
    Your goodness is so great!
You have stored up great blessings for those who honor you.
You have done so much for those who come to you for protection,
blessing them before the watching world.

I do like this verse, says a lot of encouraging words to ppl who honor God. And also reminds ppl to remain faithful.

    20
You hide them in the shelter of your presence,
safe from those who conspire against them.
You shelter them in your presence,
       far from accusing tongues.

    21
    Praise the LORD,
for he has shown me his unfailing love.
He kept me safe when my city was under attack.

    22
In sudden fear I had cried out,
"I have been cut off from the LORD!"
But you heard my cry for mercy
and answered my call for help.

Amazing to notice that even David had times when he felt like God had abandoned him yet God aswered his cry for help.

    23
Love the LORD, all you faithful ones!
For the LORD protects those who are loyal to him,
but he harshly punishes all who are arrogant.

Something to beware of, altho the ppl who do not follow Him will be punished, check where you stand so that God will find nothin wrong in your life.

    24
So be strong and take courage,
all you who put your hope in the LORD!

Tis an awesome psalm, but yes it is long, however i hope u guys will at least post a lil something about it. Go on shock me and post. Later all ya turtles and teddy bears
